Description |
The Westinghouse Electra Center, in the Village Green Shopping Plaza on University Drive at Sample Road, displayed every option available in the city. It also served as a movie theater, the meeting place for the city commission, and for Sunday services before there was a City Hall and churches. Inside there were scaled models from various builders, complete with landscaping. Debbie Smith, a home sales tour guide, provided floor plans of the models on display and of other houses in 1972. Westinghouse's on-site design center displayed its newest appliances in room settings for builders, architects, and the public. |
